Lou Gehrig's "Luckiest Man" speech... One man's legacy still brings grown men to tears. It wasn't just about how he played the game, but how he lived his life. No one argue or disputes his words...and everyone who ended a sports career (last little league game, last high school game, college, pros) can remember a similar moment.

THE DOCUMENTARIES
Baseball: A Film By Ken Burns. Yeah yeah yeah, it's about baseball. But the stories told and the lives lived inspired me greatly. I could put it in today and watch it for hours.
The Civil War: A Film By Ken Burns. Again the way that Burns did these films was incredible when first released. Still today I can push play and be engrossed for days. The pictures, the narration, the stories. An amazing work.

The Pursuit of Happyness Now I didn't cry until the very end when Smith's character finally gets the good news that he worked, and struggled, and sacrificed to get. One of Smith's best preformances! What have I honestly struggled with in my life? What has honestly cost me hardship?
Freedom Writers I think this one hit me hard because I work with students, and the stories that were presented are real and happen in similar ways everyday in every city. Swank's character wasn't a teacher. She was a servant, a minister. Another story of sacrifice and difficulties endured.
